Briagolong Mechanics Institute: More than a Place of Amusement by Linda Barraclough and Dorothy Watt. 32 pages. The Institute was placed on the Register of the National Estate in 1986 and is a building of great character. The first section was built in 1874, and is believed to be the oldest operating Mechanics building in Gippsland, and contains a significant historic library. Includes a surname index and reproductions of the pioneer photographs displayed in the hall. $6.00
